How Virtual Reality is helping train Christchurch Airport’s Fire Service
The Airport Fire Service (AFS) is always at the ready to respond to emergencies across the airport campus. It’s not always easy to train for the situations they may face – like fighting fires inside aircraft. But now, after months of collaboration between AFS, the airport’s Digital team and Christchurch tech company Corvecto, they’ve developed the first stage of a new Virtual Reality training tool that lets them train for tricky situations, sustainably and safely. It’s impressive, innovative technology.
