Chatham Islands Airport Company seeks two Directors for the Airport Company Board

The Chathams Islands Airport Company Limited, the owner and operator of the Inia William Tuuta Memorial Airport, located on Chatham Island, is seeking the services of up to two directors to serve on the Company Board.

The positions require a somewhat hands on approach as airport expertise is vital in ensuring ongoing compliance.

The airport is currently undergoing a major upgrade involving a 480 metre extension to the existing runway which will result in an 1850 metre runway capable of handling Code 4 C aircraft.  In addition an expanded apron has been established and a new terminal extension is due for completion in 2023.

The “Longer and Stronger” project commenced in earnest in mid-2022 and is due for completion late 2023.
