February 17, 2010 10:00 am to February 18, 2010 4:00 pm. ] The second Safety Management System Symposium takes place 17-18 February 2010 at the Cothorne Hotel and Resort in Queenstown. The first symposium was well regarded by airport attendees.
[ February 25, 2010; 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. ] The main agenda item for the first Airports Forum of 2010 on Thursday 25 February will be a comprehensive ‘disclosure’ report by Airways NZ representatives to ensure airports are informed of Airways plans and developments, and to answer questions from members. Please note that the venue is the Abel Tasman Hotel on Willis Street, Wellington, not the airport conference centre.
[ December 9, 2009; 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. ] The impact of Performance Based Navigation on airports; bird control; regional airport security; and a wide range of other important current issues.
[ November 19, 2009; 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. ] The 19 November ACAG election forum plus presentation by CAA Director and a panel to discuss performance based navigation (PBN) has been moved to the Miramar Golf Club (across from the Wellington Airport Terminal).
[ November 27, 2009; 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. ] The next meeting of the Executive Committee will now be held on the morning of 27 November. The venue is the Hub Room in the Wellington Airport Conference Centre.
[ November 19, 2009; 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. ] The Aviation Community Advisory Group meeting and Election Forum on 19 November will include a presentation by CAA’s Steve Douglas, and a discussion of PBN by a panel including Air NZ, Airways and CAA.
[ February 15, 2010 to February 17, 2010. ] Topics that will be discussed include advancing the next generation of passenger and baggage screening; using and developing aviation security policies and technologies to better anticipate threats; working toward global implementation of security measures; and examining the impact of increased security on the air cargo community and on general aviation airports.
