American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE)/International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE) International Airport Security Conference will be held in Queenstown from 15th to 17th February 2010.
The complex issues and technologies surrounding aviation security continue to pose challenges as well as opportunities to airport operators, airlines and policymakers alike in every region of the world. This conference will provide an opportunity to examine the security policies and technologies in place today and to discuss how government and industry can work together in partnership to confront future security challenges in a way that increases security and traveler convenience across the globe.
Topics that will be discussed include advancing the next generation of passenger and baggage screening; using and developing aviation security policies and technologies to better anticipate threats; working toward global implementation of security measures; and examining the impact of increased security on the air cargo community and on general aviation airports. Emerging trends that use technology to increase security, as well as improve efficiency and facilitate travel, such as biometric credentials and machine readable travel documents, also will be discussed.
Senior executives from the national governments, airport and airline representatives, and recognized industry leaders in the global aviation security arena will participate in the program.
