The latest Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) for the 2009 March year, released by Statistics New Zealand, shows that total tourism expenditure continued to grow, reaching $21.7 billion, up by $226 million or 1.1% from the previous year. This was achieved by a 2.6% increase in domestic tourism spend which more than offset a 0.9% decrease in international visitor spend.
